More Details on College Credit
Our live and online courses both offer college credit. We usually offer Seattle Pacific University's credit for our online courses and most in-person presentations. We provide Portland State University credit for Oregon in-person courses.
Both Seattle Pacific University and Portland State University are regionally accredited universities. Verify their accreditation status here. In addition, both SPU and PSU are approved by NCATE (Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation). View the NCATE accreditation for Seattle Pacific University. View the NCATE accreditation for Portland State University. Please note that NCATE is in the process of being consolidated into http://caepnet.org so the two links above will likely change at some point. Formal accreditation is the key designation that normally ensures that the college or university credit will be accepted for most purposes such as salary increases, degree programs, etc. but check with your board or university if you want to be certain.
College credit is usually available from the Special Ed and Ed Counseling departments, and we can often arrange both graduate or undergraduate level options.
If you need credit in a hurry, we can usually help. Without extra charge, we work hard to quickly provide your grade once your homework arrives, and to promptly transmit your grade to the university.
We only partner with student-centered universities that work hard to meet your needs so getting a transcript from the university is usually a quick process too.
For live sessions, the homework is a 3 minute pre-test and 3 minute post-test, plus you have to find 50 better Coping, School, and Social Skills Strategies. You will hear 200 strategies during a typical workshop. For online, courses there are additional assignments.
When you arrive at our live workshop, you will be offered the opportunity to sign up for college credit. Registering for college credit is fast and easy, done online. You can sign up here in advance for grad credit and Washington Teacher Clock Hours for Seattle conference sessions. The cost of earning credit at a live class is inexpensive, just $55, and units are available at the graduate and undergraduate level. When you order the online professional development workshop, be sure to request college credit registration forms.
