on the Bulletin

This year, the Oregon Statewide Teacher Inservice Bulletin list is being produced by Youth Change Workshops on behalf of the Oregon International Council, the Bulletin's longtime sponsor. As a service to the K-12 community, and to best maintain the Bulletin, Youth Change Workshops is donating staff time and resources to produce, publish and distribute the Bulletin. To encourage professional development course sponsors to list events, Youth Change has dramatically reduced listing fees. Note that your listing fee will cover just a small portion of the costs of actually producing the Inservice Bulletin.

As usual, the Bulletin is going to be emailed to the Oregon Department of Education's full list of school principals, district administrators and ESDs in late August or very early September. The Bulletin is already posted on and/or linked to from the Department of Education's website here: http://www.oregon.gov/ode/educator-resources/Pages/Professional-Development.aspx.

teacher professional development calendar Meet the All-New Oregon Teacher Inservice Bulletin (shown at left.) The Bulletin has gotten a makeover. The Department of Education has asked that the Oregon Inservice Bulletin get a new, improved look to make it ADA compliant so starting this year, the Inservice Bulletin will have new, more contemporary look and should be easier to read and use.

To help keep the Bulletin flourishing, the cost of a professional development listing is going way down. The cost for a single listing is $99, two listings cost $175, and three listings are $150. We are also offering a featured listing option to give you more flexibility. Please note that your listing fee covers just a portion of the actual cost to product, publish and distribute the Inservice Bulletin. You can pay with a check, credit card, debit card or PayPal.

For 2017, Oregon Educator Inservice Day is October 13. The Oregon Inservice Bulletin will accept K-12 professional development listings for any time in 2017 and 2018.

To list your professional development workshop, course or event on the Bulletin, just send us an email with the following information and payment. Copy and paste the list below into an email then supply the information requested. This is the only way we can accept your submission so please be sure to cut and paste the list below into your email maintaining the list order. You will receive a reply email within a day confirming receipt and noting any concerns:

  • SUBMISSION DEADLINE
    Submit your information by August 21 to ensure that your K-12 professional development listing will be included in the statewide email broadcast to the Oregon Department of Education's email list. Submissions received after that date will be added to the master copy of the Inservice Bulletin posted here on Youth Change's website. Email us for updates or questions about the time line for the email broadcast; we will do our best to accommodate last minute submissions.
     
  • SUBMISSION FORMAT
    Simply copy and paste the list above into your email, supply the required information and send it to us along with payment. We can only accept submissions that follow this format exactly as shown.
     
  • WORKSHOP LISTING ORDER
    Your professional development inservice listing will be added in the order it was received. Submit now for best placement. Featured inservice listings are available with top placement, but those listings will still be sequenced based on the order that featured listings are received by us. To be considered received, payment and all your professional development course information must have reached us.
     
  • COST
    1 Standard Listing– $99 each
    2 Standard Listings Submitted at Once– $175 for two listings
    3 Standard Listings Submitted at Once– $150 for three listings
    1 Enhanced, Featured Listing with Doubled Word Amount; Featured Placement; Unlimited Color 
       and Bolding, One Small Image in JPG format– $200
     
  • PAYMENT
    Your listing will not be processed until payment is received. We accept checks payable to Youth Change; all major credit cards; debit cards; PayPal. To pay by check, mail Youth Change, 275 N. Third, Woodburn, Oregon 97071. To pay by credit card, fax payment to our secure fax machine at 503-982-7910 or call us at 503-982-4220.   • EDITS
    Your listing may be edited for space and clarity. If your submission is incomplete, we do not have the resources to contact you to gather missing information. Please be sure to submit all the information you want included.
     
  • VERIFY ACCURACY OF YOUR LISTING
    Once your listing is online, it is your responsibility to verify the accuracy of the information posted. We will correct any errors but we can only allow a maximum of one change for any other reason. We regret that due to limitations on staff time, there is a $25 charge for each discretionary change beyond the first alteration.
     
  • ERRORS AND ISSUES
    We are not responsible for errors, changes or other issues that can occur. We'll do our best work and will promptly correct errors but we assume no liability for taking a leadership role on this community service project.

The Oregon International Council has published the Oregon Teacher Inservice Bulletin as a community service for many decades. Youth Change Workshops has agreed to produce the Oregon Teacher Inservice Bulletin on behalf of the Oregon International Council. Youth Change Workshops is a longtime national K-12 workshop provider and has had Inservice Day professional development workshops included on the Inservice Bulletin every year since the Inservice Bulletin's inception. Youth Change Workshops is taking a leadership role on producing the Inservice Bulletin as a community service project, and views this role as a chance to give back to the Oregon K-12 education community in thanks for decades of support for our workshops and mission. Youth Change is donating staff time, technical support and resources not covered by the listing fees paid by professional development course sponsors. No tax dollars are used to produce the Bulletin.
